Natural Fertility Enhancement
This is for you if:
- You are planning to try to get pregnant in the next 3-6 months.
- You suspect that you have fertility issues, but do not want to take hormones.
- You have been diagnosed with fertility issues, but are not ready to take hormones or go to a Reproductive Endocrinologist.
We don’t need you to wait a certain amount of time, or have a certain number of tests run to fit into this category. You know your body. and If you are worried that something is wrong, this treatment will help.
You will receive a custom treatment plan that can include any of the following: acupuncture, herbs, supplements, and/or nutrition support. All of this is based years of clinical experience, and the latest in natural and western medical research.
We reassess often, and your treatment plan changes with your symptoms and/or changing levels of medical intervention.
I have worked closely with ORM, Spring, OHSU, as well as with other Portland-area private Reproductive Endocrinologists. I am familiar with all of their treatment protocols, and the Western medicine involved. Our work together will be cohesive, and co-treatment with Portland’s REs is something I am glad to provide. I can offer pre-IUI treatment as well as onsite pre- and post-IVF transfer treatment at facilities that allow it.
IVF/IUI Support
This is for you if:
- You have already begun taking Clomid or Letrazole.
- You have scheduled or are going to schedule an IUI.
- You are going to start or have begun the IVF process.
- You are using donor eggs for an IVF cycle.
- You have had several failed IUI/IVF cycles.
No matter the diagnosis, we can support you through your IUI/IVF and/or medication cycles to give you better chances of conceiving and having a healthy pregnancy.

We are familiar with all of their treatment protocols, and the Western medicine involved. Miscarriage Support and Prevention
If you have gone through a loss, you deserve support, guidance, and understanding. Whether you are in acute phases of recovery, or in the stages of trying to conceive again — support is available at Solstice Natural Health. Your level of need guides our individualized treatment plans. We discuss your mental, physical, and emotional status, and make recommendations for your recovery based on this.
The resources we use depend on your needs, and on where you are in the grieving process. Our clinic is a safe space for you to discuss your loss, and to ask any questions about the implications of conceiving again.
Your treatment plan may include: nutrition advice, self-care, acupuncture, and possibly herbal medicine. We rely on our network of referrals when appropriate, with the goal of helping you heal physically and emotionally.
When you are ready to try to conceive again, our treatment plan changes to assist you through the process. That includes emotional support, but we also work to treat the root cause of the miscarriage (especially in the event that you have had 2 or more miscarriages), so that your next pregnancy will have the best chances of a positive outcome.

How long should I expect a treatment plan to be?
Your individualized treatment plan will be discussed with you at your very first visit. Your treatment plan will change and adapt to meet your needs as things change with your health and with any other modalities you may be using. While you will quickly see improvements in some areas of your health, you can expect treatment to last several months.

Yes, our team has a close working relationship with ORM, Spring, OHSU, and other reproductive specialists, ensuring a cohesive and effective treatment plan tailored to your fertility needs.
Fertility Patients and Insurance
We want to take a moment to explain why we can’t always bill your insurance, and why that’s not always in our control.
Coverage depends heavily on why you’re seeking care. Insurance companies don’t just look at whether you’re seeing a licensed acupuncturist, they also consider:
- The diagnosis or condition you’re being treated for
- Whether that diagnosis is considered “medically necessary” by your insurance plan
- Whether acupuncture is a covered treatment for your specific plan
- The providers’ network status with your insurance plan
Every Plan is Different. Even within the same insurance company, individual plans can vary widely in what they cover. For example:
- One patient with a Regence BlueCross BlueShield plan may have generous acupuncture coverage for a wide range of conditions.
- Another patient with a different Regence plan might only be allowed a handful of visits per year, and only for specific pain diagnoses.
Unfortunately, there is no universal list of what is and is not covered.
“But I called my insurance, and they said acupuncture is covered…” We hear this a lot. And we believe you- insurance reps often give general information about benefits, but may not dig into diagnosis-specific limitations, or billing codes we’re required to use.
We are on your side, and will always be as transparent as we can be. If we know that your reasoning for coming in is unlikely to be covered, we’ll tell you. Please know that while we will work with your insurance whenever possible, we cannot bill for codes that are not the focus of care. What that means is, if you’re coming in for fertility support, and your insurance won’t cover that diagnosis, but you occasionally have back pain which is a covered code, we cannot bill for the back pain just because it is covered. Not only is that illegal, but it also dilutes the treatment: if you are here for fertility, we want to be able to fully focus on that.
When you come into our clinic, Jasmine at our front desk will go over your insurance benefits with you. She will review and help you understand how your acupuncture benefits align with your treatment plan.
If we cannot bill your insurance, we offer time-of-service discounts and can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement if your plan allows it.
Insurance is tricky, and no one knows that better than us! This is part of the reason we offer free consultations. It allows us to find out more about your health concerns and your particular insurance plan so that we can really understand all of the options and costs that will be included with care. Our goal is always to be as transparent as possible about your individual care needs so you can make an informed decision about your health.
